Burning up the Canadian expat WeChat groups late last night was news of Canada's most ardently revered and representative coffee chain entering the Chinese market. Tim Horton's is coming to China, reports The Guardian, announcing that they will be opening 1,500 coffee shops in the PRC over the next ten years. The chain – named after its founder, former professional ice hockey player and general bad-ass Tim Horton – is basically "Canada's brand" when it comes to coffee, donuts, time capsules of Canada in the 1970s, and places to pull over and use the bathroom at. Reps of the company, which is now owned by the Burger King corp., stated that the China market represents "an excellent growth opportunity". Yeah bud! You think? Timmy's! In China! What! Double-double and a French cruller please eh bud!
