Mud, Color, and Charity Runs Coming Soon. Crazy Videos Now

By Aug 24, 2016 Sports & Recreation
Crawling through the mud, climbing 60 floors, and getting splashed with color, just to bring you this news. Here are three fitness events with offbeat themes coming to Shanghai in the next few months.

Climb for Hope Vertical Fun Run 2016 on September 10

The Shangri-La in the Jing'an Kerry Center is hosting a charity run up 60 floors. So, not for the faint of heart (or leg). Proceeds from the race go to the Shanghai Children's Medical Center to aid in the treatment of underprivileged children. Costs 288rmb to join. Starts at 7.30am.

Color Run Shanghai on September 24 & 25

If you haven't heard, The Color Run is a 5k race where people throw colored power at your face and body. The event was called off last year due to safety concerns, but it's happening this year. Sound like good times? Tickets for September 24 are already sold out, but you can still get tickets for the afternoon of the 25th. Tickets start at 208rmb. The run is at 9.30am and 3pm each day.

Tough Mudder Shanghai on October 22 & 23

Apt name. Tough Mudder is a day spent crawling through tough obstacles and mud. Unlike the Color Run, this one leaves you drenched in grime and brown by the finish line. Tickets range from 418-818rmb and you can sign up for various times throughout the day. Details in the event listing.
