About the Brand
Pilates ProWorks (PPW) offers a highly effective workout on its signature FitFormer machine. The first PPW location in Asia opened its door in Shanghai, China in March 2018.
It is a pioneer in the region as a fitness studio that specializes in group classes themed around Pilates. In addition to its signature Pilates Pro classes and Pilates 40-Works classes, PPW also offers Mat Pilates, Barre, Ballet Bootcamp, Yogalates, Energy Kickboxing, and matBox, etc., with 8-10 classes available throughout the morning, lunch and evening sessions every day.
The Uniqueness of the FitFormer
The FitFormer was manufactured in and imported from the United States. It is a highly sophisticated and durable piece of equipment that was specially designed to provide a high-intensity, whole-body workout, different from other traditional Pilates reformers. In merely 40 or 50 minutes, you work your entire body safely and effectively. As our signature workout, it combines strength building, flexibility training and muscle toning. Besides improving your posture, it elongates your muscles and betters your agility and balance. Though often compared with Yoga, Pilates focuses more on building your core and overall muscles, particularly around your spine and joints. It heightens awareness of your own body and prevents injuries in other sports and everyday activities.

Classes are more of a power workout type of Pilates and designed for all different levels to work on proper technique and alignment while delivering a fun and challenging total body workout.
About the Trainers
We have a team of trainers with experiences from a diverse range of sports and fitness. In addition to being certified by PPW, Polestar Pilates and related certifications, they also come from backgrounds such as Ballet & Barre, CrossFit, Yoga, Professional Sports, Marathon Running and Personal Training etc. Their experience not only ensures the classes are conducted professionally, but the diversity also adds a different flavor for each class, keeping classes unique and fun. For example, some instructors design their class to be more of a power workout to make sure your muscles get their maximum workout and still continue to burn the fat throughout the day. And some instructors come from traditional Pilates backgrounds, so their classes would focus more on strengthening the muscles, posture correction, increasing mobility and flexibility, working towards a more functional and toned body. All in all, PPW’s instructors have their own specialties and know how to work on the proper technique and alignment while delivering a fun and challenging workout.

Pilates Pro Beginner Class
Beginner Pilates Class is primarily designed for members who have never tried Pilates and want to learn the fundamentals on which to build their practice. Most of the exercises are taught at a slower pace, so members will become familiar with the FitFormer machine and focus on the correct form and alignment of each movement. Moving correctly is extremely important to ensure your safety and to help to prevent injuries. You will learn the essential movements and how to engage the right muscle groups. Modifications will be given for those with physical limitations or for members that are simply not familiar with the FitFormer.
Pilates Pro Class
This class pace is faster than the Beginner Class and includes more challenging and complex movements that require more muscle strength and body coordination. To obtain and enjoy the most out of this Pro Class, it is important to have a basic understanding of Pilates Fundamentals. This class is not suitable for first-timers.
Pilates 40-Works
Want to make the most of your morning or lunch break? Join 40-Works! Faster transitions between movements and more intense movements help to create higher efficiency. This is a full-body workout that gives you maximum results in a short time frame. This class is not suitable for first-timers.
At Studio B, we also provide a variety of small group classes to enrich your fitness life. Other small group training classes include Ballet Bootcamp, BarrePro, Energy Kickboxing, matBox, Mat Pilates, Yogalates and Tabata.
The one-on-one or one-on-two private training on either the FitFormer or Mat Pilates is offered as well if you have previous injuries or other special need such as pre- or post-natal, etc.

Energy Kickboxing
Energy Kickboxing class combines Boxing and Muay Thai training. Our class includes punch, kick, elbow and knee. You will learn the striking technique, and how to training with the heavy bag. This class is for all levels.
Our class is focused on Improving your cardio and coordination. Also can strengthen the core muscle. Feel have a good mood and improved the energy after this class.
Ballet Bootcamp
Ballet Bootcamp is a ballet-inspired fitness program that incorporates cardio training. Through movements enhancing balance, precision, and creativity, it is an ideal program for optimizing your mind and body. The class is unique that it maintains the integrity of ballet, Pilates and cardio training while making them accessible to everyone. Through simple, repetitive calisthenics and plyometrics, participants challenge the body to engage the mind, so to witness their resistance to discomfort. The invigorating flow of movements is paired with inspiring music that invokes a feeling of play and dance. The result is an expansive, heart-clearing and body-strengthening release. This class will challenge and enlighten you while building an incredibly strong, lean, and resilient body.
GYROKINESIS®
The GYROKINESIS ® movement system was created by Juliu Horvath, who was inspired to create movement principles that offer the same benefits also found in yoga, dance, gymnastics, swimming and tai chi, but are not derived from these other exercise modalities.
This exercise program systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating exercises, generating mobility, flexibility, length and strength in the entire body. Increased functionality supports and invigorates as it re-educates the body to move with fluidity, relaxation and power.
In GYROKINESIS ® exercises, all movement originates from the spine and follows the natural energy lines in the body to build internal and external strength and dynamic health and fitness. The exercises are designed to mobilize the spine and all the joints of the body through arching, curling, stretching, bending, twisting and spiraling movements. GYROKINESIS movement maximizes the flow of energy through the body and generates a feeling of being energized, balanced, and grounded. The GYROKINESIS system is invigorating and relaxing all at the same time. The sense of quiet power and presence in the body after a class is clear and vibrant.
matBox
matBox, a Pilates ProWorks original that brings together Kickboxing, Mat Pilates, and Yoga in one powerful full-body workout.
matBox offers an intensive session starting with a round of high-intensity kickboxing with a punching bag. Then, the gloves come off and you hit the mat for a round of Pilates to strengthen your core. The final round incorporates Yoga to leave you aligned, balanced and fully invigorated. The result is a balanced mix of high-energy and focused intensity that tones, aligns and blasts calories.
mat Pilates
Mat based Pilates class focuses on strength, stability, posture, proper breath control and flexibility. Each class will work to balance all muscle groups’ strength and flexibility, with an emphasis on challenging the core muscles with each movement. This low-impact Class will be taught using slow, controlled movements, and the exercises may also be combined with other props such as weights, balls, therabands, rings, and Barre. It is suitable for all levels including clients who wish to learn the fundamentals on which to build their practice. Mat Pilates is a challenging yet safe method to lengthen and sculpt your body and to feel increased agility in your everyday movements. This class is a great way to start and to watch the transformation in how you look, and more importantly, how you feel.
Yogalates
Yogalates: Each class will take you through an invigorating vinyasa flow, core building pilates series and gentle stretch. Great for muscle toning, endurance and flexibility.
When yoga is combined with pilates, it becomes the popular all-round fitness exercise Yogalates in recent years. Unlike yoga, Yogalates does not need to stay at one gesture, but to improve muscle strength and flexibility through continuous movements. Perfectly combining the advantages of these two exercise, it is helpful to shape the body and expel body waste and fat. Yoga emphasizes on the stretching, balancing and relaxing of each part of body, while pilates emphasizes on strengthening the muscle. The movements of Yogalates are smoothly combining the gestures of yoga and the movements of pilates, which selects the good aspects of these two exercise and complement for each other. Yogalates does not only strengthen and stretch the body lines, but also stabilize the core, stimulate the deep muscle and internal organs to achieve the effect of expelling the body waste. So Yogalates is favored by yoga and pilates lovers.
Most of the Yogalates movements are slow extension, less of them are explosive. It trains the deeper muscles of the body, the lines of which are slender and strong. This is the best way to help the body get rid of tilt. The movements of Yogalates can help to find the natural and correct gestures, make people know better about their muscles and body system and observe the symmetry and balance of the body. BarrePro
An intensely paced full-body workout. It burns fat and increases stamina through a unique fusion of ballet barre work, cardio, pilates core conditioning, and strength training. In this fun and challenging class you can expect to target your glutes, quads and calves at the barre, creating long, lean muscle mass. The pilates mat work focuses on strengthening your abs, core and lower back as well as some light stretching exercises.
Our Barre Pro classes are an intensive 55-minute workout, with a group of no more than 10 so you can work on perfecting your form and postures with our barre instructors.

For newcomers, PPW has a special deal at 109rmb for the first trial including a pair of sticky socks for the class. PPW has different types of packages from expiration 1 month to 6 months.
