Dragon Boat Festival is coming. You can feel it in the air. Good news: the holiday happens June 9-11, so you get Thursday and Friday off, but you'll probably have to work on Sunday.

More good news: zongzi, those sticky rice triangles wrapped in leafs and filled with pork, salty duck egg, and more are back on the streets. As of yesterday, Changle Lu Zongzi Grandma and Xinle Lu Zongzi Ayi were on the block selling theirs. The former is friendlier, but the latter has much better zongzi. She is difficult to communicate with, and you'll probably need the neighbor to translate into Shanghainese. Totally worth the mafan though. Better go now if you want one because last year she was totally sold out in the week leading up to Dragon Boat Festival.
